Sterling silver, hand-forged, statement raven pendant.
A unique artisan hand-carved Black Beauty Basalt stone features raven flying amongst the stars. Set in a fine silver bezel on sterling silver, and surrounded by sterling silver moon and stars, raven promises to guide you safely through the darkness.
This silver raven pendant makes quite a statement, and measures approximately 2″ long (including bail) by 1.25″ wide.
The pendant is oxidised and brushed to highlight all the fine details, and gently polished for just the right amount of shine. It hangs from a sturdy, oxidised, sterling silver chain, in your chosen length. All pendant loops are soldered closed for strength.
It has a wonderful weight to it, and a tactile presence. It feels strong, protective.
There is a wealth of mythology surrounding ravens in numerous cultures. Native Americans see the raven as a symbol of transformation, associated with the creation of the world and the gift of sunlight to mankind. In Welsh folklore, the raven was seen as a guardian and protector of Britain. The presence of ravens at the Tower of London is an echo of this legend, and the prophecy says that if the ravens ever leave the tower, Britain will fall.
Let this raven pendant be your own personal guardian. May it offer protection and comfort, and the reminder that you are not alone; raven watches over you, guiding you safely throught the darkness to the light.
