Sterling silver, hand-forged, statement pendant. A raven sits in front of the light of the moon, keeping watch over your dreams.
This large silver raven pendant makes quite a statement, and measures approximately 1.5″ in diameter.
Oxidised and brushed to highlight all the fine details, and gently polished for just the right amount of shine, it has a wonderfully weighty, tactile presence, which is comforting to wear and hold. It feels strong and watchful; a talisman for protection and healing.
The raven pendant hangs from a sturdy, oxidised sterling silver chain. All pendant loops are soldered for strength.
There is a wealth of mythology surrounding ravens in numerous cultures. Native Americans see the raven as a symbol of transformation, associated with the creation of the world and the gift of sunlight to mankind. In Welsh folklore, the raven was seen as a guardian and protector of Britain. The presence of ravens at the Tower of London is an echo of this legend, and the prophecy says that if the ravens ever leave the tower, Britain will fall.
Let this raven pendant be your own personal guardian. May it offer protection and comfort, and the reminder that you are not alone; your sentinel watches over you.
Each piece I make is created individually by my two hands, in my small Scottish studio, with love. There may therefore be very slight differences in each piece, which will make yours, in some small way, unique to you.
