Sky Flight Crow Lariat Necklace
“LET GO. BREATHE FREE.”
Silver crow lariat necklace, hand-forged and stamped with the silhouettes of birds in the sky.
Hand-sawn from raw sterling silver sheet, the pendant has been hand-stamped with crows in flight, hammered and distressed for a raw, organic finish, oxidised then brushed to highlight all the details. Finally, it was given a gentle polish for a subtle shine. The sterling silver crow pendant drop measures approximately 3/4″ long, sitting below a hand-forged silver loop approximately 7/16″ in diameter. The necklace measures approximately 17″ long, with the pendant dropping a further 1″ below. All loops are soldered for strength, and this lariat necklace has such a wonderfully tactile feel.
I love looking up at the sky and watching the crows fly overhead. Soaring around, they look so carefree; just watching them makes me breathe easier. I wanted to make a piece that really captured this feeling. This necklace does just that, and is subtle enought to be worn every day or layered with other pieces.
The necklace can be worn with the lariat section loose – the pendant just dropping loosely though the loop for movement – or to fix the drop section in place more, the pendant chain can be wrapped around the loop as seen in the photos.
Let this totem crow lariat necklace be your own personal amulet for freedown, for courage, for letting go. A wearable reminder to look to the sky and breathe free. May it lift your heart, and bring sunlight to your soul.
As each piece is made individually by hand, there will be very slight differences in forging, which will make yours, in some small way, entirely unique to you.
