Moonlight Woods Necklace

“MAKE YOUR OWN MAGIC”

Sterling silver ‘moonlight woods’ necklace.

This sterling silver pendant measures approximately 1″ tall (1 1/4″ including bail). Moon phase and forest silhouettes stand proud. This piece was brushed and oxidised, then given a light polish on the raised image to highlight the details. It hangs from a lightly oxidised sterling silver ball chain in your chosen length. All loops are soldered for strength.

Tactile and intuitive, this piece holds magic.

The moon has long been a symbol for immortality, enlightenment and the darker side of Nature herself. Moonlight is the middle ground between the light of the sun and the darkness of night, the realm between the conscious and the unconscious, a symbol of the soul, and one’s own capacity for reflection. The forest symbolises the unconscious and its mysteries; a place where life can thrive despite darkness and an absence of structure. A place where anything is possible if you can just dream it.

Each piece is made individually by hand, using traditional tools and techniques. As each one is handmade there may be very slight differences, making yours, in some very small way, unique to you.

Part of my “Wild Earth” collection, a celebration of the natural world, its landscapes and wild inhabitants. These pieces are created as a reminder that there is no better designer than Nature, and to find enough beauty to fill the soul, we need only look around us.

Designed and lovingly created in my studio in Moray, Scotland.

I work in sterling silver, ancient bronze, copper and brass, with natural semi-precious gemstones. I make pieces which are perfect for layering together, mixing and matching, so you can grow your collection and choose your pieces according to your mood, or the inspiration you want to gain that day.

Each piece is unique. Whilst I may create similar pieces, as every piece is made individually by my hand, no two will ever be exactly the same. I am registered with Edinburgh Assay Office for precious metal work.
