Sunrise Silk Wrap Bracelet

Solid copper and hand-dyed silk ribbon wrap bracelet.
The hand-forged copper feature piece measures approximately 1 1/2″ wide. The copper has been given a raised imprint of a sunrise design, before being hammered around the edges to catch the light, and gently curved to follow the wrist. The piece was deeply oxidised and then the raised relief design was polished to a gorgeous shine, leaving the lower areas darkened and grainy, giving this piece a wonderful antique look.
The copper is entirely hand-sawn, forged, textured and oxidised to highlight the detailing, brushed then lightly polished for just the right amount of shine. Set onto hand-dyed silk ribbon in beautiful multi-coloured sunset hues of orange, red and yellow. The silk ribbon is sewn at the edges to prevent fraying, and is wonderfully soft and comfortable to wear.
The ribbon measures approximately 40″ long, perfect for wrapping around the wrist several times. Of course, at this length, it can also be worn as a necklace, making this a truly versatile piece!
Silk wrap bracelets are so easy to wear. Just wrap the ribbon around your wrist as many times as suits, keeping the copper on top of the wrist, and tie the ribbon in the back. The ends can be tucked under or left hanging – you choose. The ribbon can be slid off the copper and washed gently by hand with mild silk detergent.
Perfect for summer; this wrap bracelet is equally at home with hiking boots or a summer dress. The sun design symbolises illumination, hope, life force, vitality. Wear this as a constant reminder to always burn your brightest, and to shine your warmth on everyone you meet.
