Sterling Silver Cave Art Necklace

“I AM HERE. I AM PRESENT.”

Rustic sterling silver petroglyph hand pendant, set on a sterling silver chain.

The pendant measures approximately 7/8″ tall. The imprint of a petroglyph hand print is etched deep into the silver. The pendant has been lightly oxidised, hammered and distressed for an aged look. Set on a lightly oxidised sterling silver chain, this is an elegant yet rugged piece, perfect for everyday wear. Your choice of 16″, 18″ or 20″ chain, perfect for men or women.

Hand prints are one of the most common petroglyphs, and are found at petroglyph sites around the world. They were used as a way for a person to say “I am here” and to leave a part of their spirit and presence at a particular place. Hands with a “sacred spiral” are believed to denote healing.

Wear this healing hand print necklace as a constant reminder of being in the now, rather than dwelling on the past or concentrating too much on the future.

Part of my “Warriors & Relics” collection, inspired by ancient petroglyphs, talismans and totems. Elegant yet rugged pieces that could have been forged in fires thousands of years ago and only recently unearthed. These pieces represent strength and endurance, not just in the physical realm, but an inner strength to keep you focused forward to where you need to be.

Designed and lovingly created in my studio in Moray, Scotland.

I work in sterling silver, ancient bronze, copper and brass, with natural semi-precious gemstones. I make pieces which are perfect for layering together, mixing and matching, so you can grow your collection and choose your pieces according to your mood, or the inspiration you want to gain that day.

Each piece is unique. Whilst I may create similar pieces, as every piece is made individually by hand, no two will ever be the same. I am registered with Edinburgh Assay Office for precious metal work.
