Long Shaman Necklace
“LET GO; LET YOURSELF FLY THROUGH THE AIR AND LIVE FREE IN THE SUNLIGHT”
The Shaman. Bringer of peace; healer of soul and spirit.
Rustic sterling silver “Shaman” pendant necklace, set on a long sterling silver chain.
The sterling silver pendant, including loop section, measures approximately 1 3/4″ tall. The Shaman is etched deeply into the silver, as if carved into a rock face. Oxidised, hammered, textured and distressed for an aged look, this is a spiritual, tactile piece, and hangs from a lightly oxidised 28″ sturdy sterling silver belcher chain. All loops are soldered closed for strength. At this length, and with no clasp, it can be easily put on over the head – perfect for when you’re in a hurry. This piece is also great for layering with shorter pieces, and is perfectly unisex, equally befitting him or her.
This design has so much movement, a tangible feeling of flight, freedom and joy. Wear it when you need to set your soul free from whatever, or whoever, tries to drag you down. Let it call to mind the feeling of wind in your hair, sun on your face, and the pure joy of a life yet to live.
As every piece is made individually by my own hand, there may be very slight differences in forging which will make yours even more special and unique to you, in some small way.
Part of my “Warriors & Relics” collection, inspired by ancient petroglyphs, talismans and totems. Elegant yet rugged pieces that could have been forged in fires thousands of years ago and only recently unearthed. These pieces represent strength and endurance, not just in the physical realm, but an inner strength to keep you focused forward to where you need to be.
Designed and lovingly created in my studio in Moray, Scotland.
I work in sterling silver, ancient bronze, copper and brass, with natural semi-precious gemstones. I make pieces which are perfect for layering together, mixing and matching, so you can grow your collection and choose your pieces according to your mood, or the inspiration you want to gain that day.
Each piece is unique. Whilst I may create similar pieces, as every piece is made individually by hand, no two will ever be the same. I am registered with Edinburgh Assay Office for precious metal work.
