Description
Silver Mountain Pendant
This kite-shaped mountain pendant is created from layers of hand-sawn sterling silver. Each tiny element is sawn and shaped by hand, before being soldered together to create a miniature mountain landscape. As each element is created and textured by hand, there will never be another exactly the same. One only available.
The petite pendant measures approximately 7/8″ tall by 1/2″ wide. It was given a contemporary brushed finish, oxidised to highlight all the detailing, then lightly polished for a subtle shine. All loops are soldered for strength. Despite its petite size, it has a wonderfully tactile feel, and hangs from a lightly oxidised 18″ sterling silver satellite chain, which catches the light beautifully.
May it bring the strength and peace of the mountains to you when you wear it.
Part of my “Landscapes” collection, a celebration of nature, its landscapes and wild inhabitants. These miniature landscapes are created to remind you of favourite places; maybe those you’ve visited in the past, or those you long to visit in the future, or maybe those that surround you every day.
Designed and lovingly created in my studio in Moray, Scotland.
I work in sterling silver, sometimes accented by other metals or with natural semi-precious gemstones. I make pieces which are perfect for layering together, mixing and matching, so you can grow your collection and choose your pieces according to your mood, or the inspiration you want to gain that day.
Each piece is unique. Whilst I may create similar pieces, as every piece is made individually by hand, no two will ever be the same. I am registered with Edinburgh Assay Office for precious metal work.
