Silver Spiral Necklace
“WHAT YOU ARE SEEKING IS ALSO SEEKING YOU. FOLLOW YOUR PATH.”
Hand-forged sterling silver “sacred spiral” pendant. Petroglyph-inspired jewellery.
The spiral talisman pendant measures approximately 3/4″ in diameter. The imprint of a petroglyph ‘sacred spiral’ is etched deep into the silver. The pendant has been oxidised and distressed for a raw, aged look. Set on a lightly oxidised sterling silver belcher chain, this is an elegant yet rugged piece, perfect for wearing alone or layering with other necklaces.
Spirals are one of the oldest geometric shapes found at petroglyph sites globally. People throughout the world carved the same symbol in rocks and caves, despite having no communication with each other. It appears to have universal meaning and significance, which is understandable seeing how the spiral is fundamental to nature. You see them on snail shells, seashells and in such natural phenomena as whirlpools, hurricanes, tornadoes and galaxies above. The spiral is a powerful symbol for creation, change and growth. It represents the journey of life as it unfolds, and is a reminder of the constant change and flow of our lives.
Wear it when you need to make peace with change, and to remind you to open your heart to new beginnings, as that way magic lies.
As each piece is made individually by hand, there may be very slight differences in forging, which will make yours, in some small way, unique to you.
Part of my “Warriors & Relics” collection, inspired by ancient petroglyphs, talismans and totems. Elegant yet rugged pieces that could have been forged in fires thousands of years ago and only recently unearthed. These pieces represent strength and endurance, not just in the physical realm, but an inner strength to keep you focused forward to where you need to be.
Designed and lovingly created in my studio in Moray, Scotland.
I work in sterling silver, ancient bronze, copper and brass, with natural semi-precious gemstones. I make pieces which are perfect for layering together, mixing and matching, so you can grow your collection and choose your pieces according to your mood, or the inspiration you want to gain that day.
Each piece is unique. Whilst I may create similar pieces, as every piece is made individually by hand, no two will ever be the same. I am registered with Edinburgh Assay Office for precious metal work.
